Surface Texture
How it Works
Metallic surface texture can be sprayed/bonded onto a base metallic surface material. The deposited metal brings the surface roughness up to approximately 80grit

The additive material provides a layer of rough surface mechanically bonded to the base alloy. This surface can be used in decorative applications or for non-slip surface applications.

Case Study
Problem Statement: Customer's Stainless Steel machine required personnel to walk on a surface which becomes very slippery during Clean In Place Process

Solution: Spray coat an 80gr stainless steel surface texture onto walking panels.

Result: Safe working surface for personnel to perform their clean in place duties.
An OEM Customer manufactures food process equipment which has a Clean In Place (CIP) requirement. In order to perform the CIP Duties, the maintenance personnel must walk on the stainless steel machine. To prevent a slip and fall accident they asked us to spray the stainless steel walking panels with a non-slip stainless steel grit. The stainless steel additive alloy mechanically bonds to the target surface providing a non-slip surface which also meets the requirements of a sanitary environment. These parts have been in service for over 10 years without issue.
